According to a recent report from BIS (Bank for International settlements) has concluded that 70% of the Central banks around the World are researching the implementation of Central Bank issued Digital currencies (CBDCs), however all these projects vary in their scope, motivation & implementation. Of the 63 banks studied 41 were from the emerging market economies & the rest of 22 were from developed countries.
